RH Chairs is one the first office seating manufacturers to achieve certification in accordance with the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) system.
The EPD system was launched internationally earlier this year as a revised replacement to other EPD systems that had been in place for almost a decade in various European and Asian countries. The label was awarded following assessment by various independent bodies focusing on published research and data, plus other factors such as resource use, global warming potential, and generation of waste (both hazardous and non-hazardous).
Following extensive evaluation, the RH Ambio, Extend 120 and Logic 400 are the first office chairs to receive pre-certification according to the International EPD System.
